    Pipeline Maintenance – Line 2171 – Mesquite Power Plants

    El Paso Natural Gas Company, L.L.C. (EPNG) will be conducting ILI inspections of Line 2171 which supplies the Mesquite (PIN 398670) and Mesquite Block I (PIN 800924) power plants.  The inspections of Line 2171 will be accomplished in two steps:

    October 1, 2024:  Modifications of the pig barrel launchers and receivers will require zero flow on Line 2171 for 8-12 hours.  Mesquite and Mesquite Block I will move to alternate supplies during the outage.

    October 8, 2024:  The ILI inspections of L2171 will consist of two separate pig runs.  The combined flow of Mesquite and Mesquite Block II will need to total 70,000 dekatherms per day (Dth/d) to control pig speed.  Flows required in excess of 70,000 Dth/d combined will need to be sourced from alternate supplies.
