WARNING OF STRAINED OPERATING CONDITION (SOC) - PACK
The EPNG system linepack started Gas Day October 18, 2024, at 7,960 MMcf which is an increase of 93 MMcf compared to the start of Gas Day October 17, 2024, due to actual deliveries below scheduled quantities. EPNG is concerned about the seasonally mild temperatures forecast in the Desert Southwest this weekend and EPNG's ability to maintain linepack within acceptable levels.
Washington Ranch injection is currently unavailable to assist in managing linepack levels.
Delivery point operators are encouraged to continue to deliver gas according to their scheduled quantities. If the situation fails to improve EPNG will declare an SOC for a PACK condition.
Supply operators are encouraged to reduce and/or maintain their deliveries into the EPNG system at their scheduled rates.
Imbalance payback to the system, such as Payback (Imbalance Payback to TSP) transactions, will be denied due to operational concerns related to maintaining adequate linepack.
