Columbia Gas Transmission, LLC (TCO) notifies customers of the following update regarding the Force Majeure on Line PM-17 near Boldman Compressor Station in Kentucky.TCO declared a Force Majeure effective February 19, 2025 (Notice ID 25927533) due to an unexpected and uncontrollable equipment failure on Line PM-17. This required TCO to take expedient action in order to maintain the safety and reliability of the system, and therefore, cannot be deferred. TCO continues to closely monitor the line to minimize the customer impact.TCO remains diligently working towards remediation in a reasonably expeditious manner; however, based on updated logistics involved with the performance of work necessitated by the Force Majeure, TCO anticipates a further pressure reduction will become necessary effective with the start of the Gas Day Tuesday, April 22, 2025, which has allowed for advanced notice of this Force Majeure impact.As a result, TCO anticipates the following capacity adjustments will become effective for Timely Cycle for Gas Day April 22, 2025, and continuing until further notice:828745 – ABARTA-LESLIE – 0 Total Capacity833328 – PORTER HEIRS – 0 Total Capacity833505 – RIVER BRANCH PM17 – 0 Total Capacity834106 – WALKER-PM17 – 0 Total Capacity834944 – BRUSHY PM-17 – 0 Total Capacity835559 – PIKEVILLE WEST – 0 Total Capacity839178 – Kinzer Mare Creek – 0 Total CapacityCNR02 – CHK-Boldman – 7,500 Total Capacity (zero non-firm)Based on current scheduled volume, the estimated impact to firm service is less than 10,000 Dth/day. TCO currently estimates the capacity impact related to the Force Majeure will remain in effect through May 2025. As a reminder, the anticipated dates and impact are subject to change based on outage logistics, including but not limited to site infrastructure, equipment, accessibility, and weather.  TCO will provide updates as additional information becomes available.Reservation charge credits (RCCs) will be determined per the process set forth in the General Terms and Conditions, Section 38 of TCO’s FERC Gas Tariff (“Tariff”).  However, TCO will only issue RCCs if TCO is unable to schedule or deliver primary firm nominated capacity as a result of the Force Majeure for a period greater than ten consecutive days. In the event RCCs are issued as set forth in the Tariff, shippers will receive RCCs based on its 7-day average usage quantity less any scheduled quantities on the contract.Please contact your Customer Services Representative with any questions. ***Previous Posting***
Columbia Gas Transmission, LLC (TCO) notifies customers of the need to perform work to address an unexpected and uncontrollable equipment failure on Line PM-17, which TCO anticipates will require a pressure reduction near the Boldman Compressor Station in Kentucky. This necessary measure could not be prevented or overcome by the due diligence of TCO and requires immediate action to maintain the safety and reliability of the system. Consequently, pursuant to Section 15 of the General Terms and Conditions of TCO’s FERC Gas Tariff, TCO is declaring a Force Majeure effective February 19, 2025.  TCO continues to closely monitor the line to minimize immediate market impact. Based on current operating conditions, including nomination levels and local markets, there is no immediate need for physical or commercial curtailments. However, TCO currently anticipates there will be a future need for all upstream production to be reduced. TCO will provide updates as additional information becomes available, including the anticipated dates and timelines of a future pressure reduction and associated capacity restrictions.
