MNCA Imbalance Notice -- UPDATE EFF 1/28
Notice Text:
During this winter season, Maritimes Canada (MNC) has been experiencing large daily Due Pipe imbalances during cold weather periods.
With colder weather anticipated to arrive effective for Gas Day January 28, 2025, MNC requires shippers and point operators not to exceed daily due pipe imbalances of 500 GJ or 5% (whichever is greater) regardless of their cumulative imbalances. As such, MNC will not allow Transaction Type 03 nominations in excess of 500 GJ per contract.
To the extent shippers and/or point operators do not adhere to this requirement, MNC may issue customer specific OFOs pursuant to General Terms and Conditions Section 10, in order to maintain the operational integrity of the system.
Correspondingly, effective 9:00 AM CCT, January 28, 2025, the previously posted imbalance notice is no longer in effect.
Please contact your operations account manager with any questions.
