On December 3, 2021, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (“Commission”) issued an Order Issuing a Temporary Certificate in Docket No. CP17-40-007, granting Spire STL Pipeline a temporary certificate of public convenience and necessity to continue operating its pipeline facilities originally authorized by FERC in Docket Nos. CP17-40-000 and CP17-40-001 under the same terms, conditions, and authorizations previously issued, including the approved tariff. Spire STL Pipeline however will not be allowed to engage in any new construction or expansion projects until further notice. This temporary authorization will remain in effect until the FERC can make a determination concerning the pending issues on remand for a permanently reissued certificate. The FERC’s schedule and/or anticipated timing to conclude the remand proceeding is not certain at this time.
