SEGMENT 9 – COMPRESSOR STATION 167 – PIPELINE MAINTENANCE – UPDATE 1
The scheduling impact has been changed, as noted below. See previous Notice ID 45170 dated June 18, 2024.
As posted on Natural's Outage Impact Report (X24-637604), Natural is required to perform pipeline maintenance at Compressor Station 167 (CS 167), located in Lea County, New Mexico (Segment 9 of Natural's Permian Zone). This work requires Natural to reduce its operating capacity, thus limiting Natural's throughput capacity northbound from Segment 9 into Segment 8.
Natural has changed the scheduling impact to become one constraint that impacts Segment 9 northbound, only (previously two scheduling constraints that included Segment 8 southbound). Therefore, the segment scheduling constraint will be at CS 167; any gas received south of CS 167 for delivery north of CS 167 will be impacted for the duration of this restriction. Segment 8 southbound will no longer be impacted by this restriction.
For scheduling purposes, the Permian Pool (LOC 25077) is located south of the constraint. Additionally, firm transportation nominated from receipt points south of CS 167 (including the Permian Pool) for withdrawal at any storage point will be impacted during this restriction.
As such, effective for gas day, Tuesday, August 20, 2024, Timely Cycle, and continuing through gas day Thursday, August 22, 2024, Natural will schedule Primary Firm and Secondary in-path Firm transports to 66% of contract MDQ (previously 0% of contract MDQ) northbound through CS 167 from Segment 9 into Segment 8. AOR/ITS and Secondary out-of-path Firm transports will not be available.
Furthermore, receipt nominations to delivery nominations that remain within Segment 9 will not be impacted during this restriction.
The stated scheduling percentage is based upon the current level of firm capacity contracted for during this restriction and is subject to change based upon operational conditions and Shipper utilization. Continue to monitor Natural's interactive website for any updates to the end date and/or scheduling percentage during this restriction.
