Angleton to Mt. Belvieu Operational Advisory -- UPDATE
Notice Text:
As previously posted, on September 16, 2024, a third-party pipeline located in the same right of way as Texas Eastern's (TE) Line 16 between its Angleton and Mt. Belvieu compressor stations, experienced a pipeline incident. As a precautionary measure, TE has isolated and reduced its pressure in the pipeline segment adjacent to the incident location until TE can confirm it is safe to return to normal service.
At this time, TE anticipates the line will be returned to service no earlier than Gas Day Tuesday September 24, 2024. There are various factors that could potentially change the projected full return to service date, such as but not limited to: weather conditions and any unforeseen pipeline conditions that could lengthen the work schedule.
Once TE has gained access to the worksite, TE will work as quickly as possible to return the segment back to service safely. TE will continue to work with meter operators in the area to minimize nomination restrictions to the extent these point operators are able to provide operational assistance, however restrictions to higher priority services are anticipated beginning for Gas Day September 19, 2024.
TE will post any updates to the status of Line 16's return to service as soon as it is known.
Please contact your Operations Account Representative if you have any questions.
