TE Access Area Operational Notice
Download File: Vidor to Gillis Corridor Schematic.pdf
Recent system conditions have caused Texas Eastern (TE) to identify two new constraints between Vidor and Gillis compressor stations in the WLA zone. The two new restrictions are:
i) Approximately 38 miles east of the Vidor compressor station on Line 14 (EGP) and
ii) Approximately 0.05 miles west of the Gillis compressor station on line 14 (WG1)
These new restriction locations will be added to TE's Operational Capacity maps in the future (TBD) and currently is anticipated to be posted with a capacity of 650,000 Dth/d for the EGP restriction and 650,000 Dth/d for the WG1 restriction. TE will review the new restriction effective immediately for EGP as part of its scheduling process for Gas Day January 17, 2025.
Meters located between VIE and the new restriction location (EGP) are as follows:
73556: GOLDEN PASS PIPELINE - CALCASIEU PARISH, LA
72395: ENTERGY SABINE POWER STATION - ORANGE CO., TX
73883: ENTERPOINT ENERGY/IP ORANGE MILL-OWENS ILLINOIS RD-ORANGE
73298: COTTONWOOD ENERGY COMPANY, LP - NEWTON CO., TX
70548: STARKS UTILITIES - STARKS, LA
As such, the following restriction will be implemented for Gas Day January 17, 2025, and until further notice:
i) Nominations for west to east through EGP will be restricted to approximately 650,000 Dth/d. This includes transportation nominations originating from the WLA Pool (79503) that ultimately had their physical supply sourced from west of EGP.
TE anticipates that on January 17, 2025, it will not need to restrict nominations at the WG1 location. However, TE anticipates that as west to east throughput continues in this area, the WG1 location could become a restriction location in the near future. This restriction at WG1 will encompass all meters west of Mile Post (MP) 64.35 (west of the Gillis compressor station on Line 14) for delivery east of MP 64.35 which includes deliveries to Line 41. Furthermore, TE envisions that a potential restriction at the GIL (Gillis) node may occur if there is a significant increase in receipt quantities on Line 41 attempting to move eastbound on lines 14 and 18.
Please review the attached schematic - Vidor to Gillis Corridor - to see the various potential restriction locations in relationship to the receipt and delivery meters in this segment.
