Notice Text:
Subject: COMPLETE- Unplanned Caldwell Loop Anomaly Dig Maintenance Summary
All work associated with the Unplanned Caldwell Loop Anomaly Dig Maintenance has been completed. The pressure limitation between 505B20 and 505B30 has been lifted and the pipeline has been returned to normal operating pressures.
Transco performed a pipeline inspection on the Caldwell Loop in Passaic County, New Jersey related to Job #41170 in July 2024. Findings from the inspection report have identified an anomaly on the 505B20 to 505B30 line segment that requires immediate attention. Due to findings, Transco immediately reduced pressure on the Caldwell line.
Transco is currently working on an assessment plan as quickly as possible.
Work is underway to complete the needed work in order to return the Caldwell line back to normal operation. Until this work is completed, the reduced operating pressure will remain in place. At this time Transco does not anticipate any scheduling constraints as a result of this work. Transco will continue to provide updates if there are any changes to the schedule or potential impacts. The work is currently anticipated to continue through December 20, 2024. Repairs are currently on track to be completed December 14, 2024, allowing for the Caldwell Loop to return to normal operating pressures on December 15, 2024.
During periods of higher utilization, lower than normal pipeline pressure may be experienced. Transco is working with the delivery location operators in that portion of the Transco system to minimize any adverse operating conditions.
Operating Conditions resulting from this unplanned work may require Transco to manage transportation services moving south to north through the location listed below. The total quantity available will be contingent on system conditions. Transactions moving north to south through this location will not be impacted.
The Throughput Section Boundary (TSB) at mainline milepost 1808.191 (Linden) may be used to manage capacity availability including any required changes to the expected total quantity available during this unplanned work. An updated Market and Production Area constraint notice will include the location and the available quantity of all transportation services.
